The value of steel exports from Turkey to Azerbaijan grew by 4.8 percent from January through August 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, reaching $66.5 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
According to the ministry, this indicator amounted to over $56.1 million, which is 0.5 percent more than in the first seven months of last year.
In August 2021, Turkey exported steel worth more than $10.4 million to Azerbaijan, up by 36.3 percent compared to August 2020.
Turkey increased steel exports by 68.7 percent from January through August 2021 compared to the same period of 2020 - up to $13.2 billion.
Turkey exported steel worth $2.29 billion in August, which is 1.6 times more than in August 2020.
Over the past 12 months (from August 2020 to August 2021), Turkey’s steel exports amounted to $17.9 billion.
