Value of steel exports from Turkey to Uzbekistan has surged in the first eight months of 2021, Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on Sept.13.
According to the ministry, this indicator amounted to over $55.1 million, up by 1.6 times on annual basis.
In August 2021, steel exports from Turkey to Uzbekistan reached $9.8 million, which is 3.2 times above the August 2020 level.
Turkey’s total steel export value increased by 68.7 percent compared to the same period of last year - to $13.2 billion.
In August, Turkey exported $2.2 billion worth steel, which is 1.6 times more than in the same month of 2020.
Over the last 12 months (August 2020 through August 2021), Turkish steel exports amounted to $17.9 billion.
