The export of carpets from Turkey to Azerbaijan has increased by 69.5 percent (to $4.7 million) from January through August 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
This figure reached $821,000, which is 4.9 times more than over the same period of 2020.
From January through August 2021, Turkey increased carpet exports by 37.9 percent, compared to the same period of 2020 - to $2.8 billion.
In August, Turkey exported carpets worth $238 million, which is 16 percent more than in the same month of 2020.
Over the past 12 months (August 2020 - August 2021), Turkish carpet exports amounted to $3.1 billion.
