The export of carpets from Turkey to Turkmenistan surged by 95 percent from January through August 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, and amounted to $2.77 million, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
In August 2021, the value of carpet exports from Turkey to Turkmenistan reached $466,000, having soared by 65.8 percent as compared to August 2020.
In August, Turkey exported carpets worth $238 million, which is 16 percent more than in the same month of 2020.
Over the past 12 months (from August 2020 to August 2021), the value of the export of Turkish-made carpets amounted to $3.1 billion.
