Value of Turkish clothes' export to Turkmenistan surges

The value of export of clothes from Turkey to Turkmenistan has considerably grown in the first eight months of 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on Sept.14.

According to the ministry, this indicator amounted to over $12.5 million, up by 83.7 percent on annual basis.

In August 2021, Turkey exported clothes worth $1.1 million to Turkmenistan, which is 3.8 percent above the August 2020 level.

Turkey’s total value of export of clothes has grown by 24.7 percent in the first eight months of 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, up to $12.8 billion.

In the 8th month of this year, Turkey exported clothes worth over $1.7 billion abroad, which is 13.3 percent more than in the same month of 2020.

The country’s total export value of the mentioned products has exceeded $19.6 billion during the last 12 months (from August 2020 through August 2021).
