Turkey shares data on cargo transportation via local ports from Russia

The ports of Turkey handled over 47.4 million tons of cargo from Russia in 10M2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, at the same time, over 3.3 million tons of cargo from Russia were delivered to ports by ships flying the Turkish flag, and 37 million tons were delivered by ships flying the flags of other countries.

During the reporting period, ships flying the Russian flag delivered over seven million tons of cargo to Turkish ports.

The ministry noted that Turkish ports handled over 1.9 million tons of transit cargo from Russia in 10M2021.

Around 318.9 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports from January through October 2021.

During the reporting period, 25.02 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag.

Around 293.9 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the flags of other countries through the Turkish ports from January through October 2021.

Moreover, 63.8 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period.

Some 32.4 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in October 2021.

Around 2.4 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag while 30.04 million tons by ships flying the flags of other countries in October 2021.
