The value of steel export from Turkey to Azerbaijan in February 2022 grew, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
According to the ministry, this figure amounted to $9.2 million, up by 24.5 percent on annual basis.
From January through February this year, Turkey exported steel worth $19.8 million to Azerbaijan, which is 23 percent more than in the same period of 2021, the ministry said.
Besides, in February 2022, Turkey exported steel worth over $1.7 billion to world markets, up by 50 percent compared to the same month of last year.
"From January through February 2022, Turkey totally exported steel in the amount of $3.4 billion to world markets, which is 52.2 percent more than in the same period of 2021," the ministry noted.
In the past 12 months (from February 2021 through February 2022), Turkey exported steel totally amounting to $23.5 billion.
The export of steel from Turkey to Azerbaijan increased by 8.7 percent in 2021 compared to 2020 up to nearly $109.8 million.
Meanwhile, Turkey exported steel totally worth $22.3 billion to the world markets.
