BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $52.8 billion in April 2022, the Turkish Trade Ministry told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
At the same time, Turkey's exports increased by 24.6 percent compared to the same period in 2021, to $23.3 billion. Imports increased by 35 percent and amounted to $29.4 billion.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $200.3 billion from January through April 2022.
"Turkey's exports grew by 21.6 percent from January through April 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, to $83.5 billion," the ministry said.
According to the ministry, Turkey's imports increased by 40.2 percent, during this period, compared to the same period in 2021- up to $116.8 billion.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $496.7 billion in 2021.
Turkey's exports increased by 32.8 percent at the end of last year compared to 2020, to $225.2 billion.
Turkey's imports grew by 23.6 percent last year compared to 2020, to $271.4 billion.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $388.8 billion in 2020.
