BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Some 135 companies with Pakistani capital were registered in Türkiye in first five months 2022, which is 25 companies more than in the same period 2021, Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
TOBB noted that the total capital of Pakistani companies in Türkiye also increased during this period.
"The total capital of Pakistani companies registered in Türkiye from January through May 2022 amounted to 29.6 million Turkish liras ($1.7 million). This figure was at the level of 13.9 million Turkish liras ($820,000) in the same period of 2021," TOBB said.
TOBB also noted that most of the companies with Pakistani capital were registered in Istanbul (133) from January through May 2022, and their total capital amounted to 29.3 million Turkish liras ($1.72 million).
Some 69 of the total number of registered companies are involved in wholesale and retail trade, 16 in real estate.
The remaining companies operate in other sectors of the economy.
