BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. According to information from the Deputy Head of the Black Sea Exporters' Union, Ahmet Hamdi Gurdogan, tea exports from Türkiye in the period from January through July this year increased by 30 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching $17 million, Trend reports.
He also noted that during the first seven months of this year, Türkiye supplied tea to 109 countries and free economic zones. The total volume of tea exports amounted to 3,576 tons.
In January-July 2022, Turkish tea exports reached $13 million.
He also noted that the top 3 Turkish tea importing countries in this reporting period include Belgium, the US and the UK. Export to Belgium reached $6.9 million, to the US - $2.2 million, and to the UK - $1.9 million.
