BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. A total of 7.69 million tons of cargo was transported from Ukraine to Turkish ports from January through November 2023, Trend reports.
The data of the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure shows that vessels under the flag of Türkiye delivered 378,000 tons of cargo to the ports, while vessels under the flags of other countries - 6.49 million tons.
The vessels under the Ukrainian flag delivered 198,087 tons of cargo to the ports of Türkiye from January through November 2023. Ukraine transported 89,121 tons of transit cargoes to Turkish ports from January through November 2023.
During this period, 198, 87 tons of cargo were delivered by Ukrainian-flagged vessels to the ports of Türkiye. Ukraine transported 89,121 transit cargo to the ports of Türkiye from January through November 2023.
Turkish ports received more than 29 million tons of cargo in November 2023.
During this period, the cargo traffic to domestic ports by Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 2.42 million tons. Cargo traffic by vessels flying the flags of other countries to Turkish ports amounted to 26.58 million.
In addition, 4.49 million tons of transit cargo were transported from Turkish ports in November 2023.
Türkiye's ports received 355.32 million tons of cargo from January through November 2023.
"The cargo traffic by Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 26.47 million from January through November 2023. By vessels under the flags of other countries, cargo traffic to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 328.84 million tons," the ministry said in a statement.
The report also says that from January to November 2023, over 61.49 million tons of transit cargoes were transported from the ports of Türkiye.
Türkiye's ports received 4,309 vessels in November this year (2,911 vessels under the flags of other countries, 1,398 vessels under the flag of Türkiye).
From January through November 2023, the ports of Türkiye received 55,495 vessels.
