ANTALYA, Türkiye, April 11. We won't turn a blind eye to Syria plunging back into the abyss of instability, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at the opening of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Trend reports.
"We cannot allow the opportunity, which was used to establish lasting stability not only in Syria but also in our region, to be lost as a result of the events of December 8. We do not perceive Syria’s territorial integrity, stability, and security separately from our interests, as we share a 911-kilometer border with this country," he emphasized.
Erdoğan pointed out that the people of Syria have had enough of pain, oppression, and war.
"Those who are planning to make our Syrian brothers endure these sufferings again should consider the consequences of their actions. No one should misunderstand or misinterpret our calmness, patience, and desire to resolve issues through dialogue. Our calmness should not encourage anyone to pursue misguided and dangerous ambitions," he added.
