( Cihan ) - Turkey and Albania have signed a cooperation protocol within the framework of the European Union accession process.
At the signing ceremony held on Wednesday at Ankara Sheraton Hotel, State Minister and Turkey's Chief EU Negotiator Ali Babacan and Albanian Integration Minister Arenca Trashani were present on behalf of their governments.
Babacan said that Albania was a country with a perspective for European Union and that it made concrete progress in economic an political reforms on the way for accession to the bloc.
Trashani, for her part, said that she was pleased with the relations with Turkey and characterized the signing of the protocol as important for his country.
