( Cihan ) - Turkish police discovered a bomb-like mechanism in the baggage of a passenger on his way to Tehran from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport.
The name of the passenger who was to fly with IranAir to Tehran at 11 a.m. has not yet been revealed.
The suspect was detained after the airport police spotted a suspicious mechanism in his baggage during the X-ray control. The police opened the baggage and discovered an empty mobile phone and wires, which could be used to trigger a bomb.
The police detained the suspect and took him to Anti-Terror police office for further interrogation and confiscated the mechanism.
