( Cihan ) - Eight Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists were killed in an anti-terror operation on Wednesday in the southeastern Turkish province of Sirnak.
Patrolling anti-terror teams engaged into a gun battle with the PKK terrorists near the town of Kelmehmet. In ensuing fight, eight PKK terrorists were killed.
Fight with terrorists is going on in the area according to the latest reports.
The PKK terrorist organization caused the death of about 37,000 people in Turkey between 1984 and 1999. More than 4,000 soldiers, 2,000 police and about 30,000 people died in the PKK terror.
