Fifth World Chamber Congress to be held in Istanbul

( Cihan ) - The Fifth World Chambers Congress will be held in Istanbul from July 4-6 at the Lutfi Kirdar Congress and Exhibition Center. The congress is organized every other year around the world by the International Chamber of Commerce's (ICC) World Chambers Federation (WCF),

Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodities Exchanges (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarciklioglu spoke at a press conference on Monday and said that Turkish entrepreneurs should not allow business opportunities to pass by and focus only on domestic developments.Hisarciklioglu emphasized that Turkey must be go beyond its success in the region and tend towards a more important role on the global economic scene.

Bilateral meetings are to be held in the framework of the congress and Hisaciklioglu said that 220 businessmen who applied for the meetings.

Former US Secretary of State and Coca-Cola board member Madeleine Albright and President of the Bangladeshi Grameen Bank, Muhammad Yunus are taking part in the meetings along with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan who is expected to participate in the opening of the congress.

The World Chambers Congress is an international forum that provides an opportunity for chamber executives worldwide to share their experiences, develop networks and learn about new areas of innovation as they fight competition in their respective regions.
