The freight transportation tariffs decreased 0.2 percent in the transport sector in Azerbaijan in August 2014, while passenger transportation tariffs reduced 0.9 percent, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said Sept. 9.
Passenger transportation by air in the CIS countries for the period increased 4.2 percent, while it reduced 11.8 percent to other foreign destinations.
In August, the tariffs for oil transportation via the pipelines decreased by 0.9 percent, while cargo transportation by ship to other foreign countries increased by 4.3 percent.
No change was observed in tariffs for freight and passenger transportation by vehicle or passenger transportation by railway in August.
