Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov is on a visit to Moscow.
Hasanov met with Russian Defense Minister, Army General Sergey Shoigu, the Azerbaijani defense ministry told Trend Dec. 23.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the prospects of developing the military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia.
The sides discussed the relevant issues of regional security.
At the conclusion of the meeting Russia and Azerbaijan signed a military cooperation plan for 2016.
