Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan, 9 January / Trend corr. E.Mammadov / The work over the development of the Nakhchivan Monuments encyclopedia was launched in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Assembly of NAR reports to Trend.
The encyclopedia will include monuments of NAR. The encyclopedia will be published in the English language in order to inform international community about the historical monuments of Nakhchivan.
Around 1,143 monuments were certificated in Nakhchivan.
The area of NAR is 5.5km sq m, which constitutes 6.4% of the Azerbaijan's territory. Nakhchivan consists of Babek, Sharur, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz, Julfa and Kangarli regions. Nakhchivan city is the capital of Nakhchivan AR with the population of 380,200 people.
