Azerbaijan establishes a new trend in developing gymnastics, providing athletes with the best conditions, coach of the Ukrainian national team Irina Dohina told Trend on June 15.
"I have never seen such conditions created for gymnastics in the world. The conditions created for gymnasts in Azerbaijan are really impressive," Dohina said, who is in Baku for the first time.
"I haven't had an opportunity to explore the city well, but my first impressions are very good," she added. "Beautiful city, hospitable, great people."
She also expressed gratitude to the organizers of the championship.
"We are very pleased to be here," she said. "And we are very grateful that the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation warmly welcomed us. We express gratitude to the organizers for such a holiday for us and other teams too."
The championship took off on June 13 in Azerbaijan's capital at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
Some 258 gymnasts from 33 countries competed for nine sets of awards in the tournament that was held in Baku for the third time.
