Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 23
By Sabina Ahmadova - Trend:
From December 12, 2014 any Azerbaijani and Israeli officials possessing diplomatic or service passports will be able to travel without visa, Israeli Ambassador in Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz said in an interview with Trend.
"I think it is very, very important," Harpaz said, adding that a lot of work was put into the issue.
"I myself signed it and happy that we have finished the process," Harpaz said.
The ambassador said that generally there is no problem for Azerbaijanis to get visa to Israel, adding that the number of tourists from Azerbaijan visiting Israel is increasing.
The agreement on visa-free regime for persons possessing diplomatic and service passports was signed between Azerbaijan and Israel in December, 2013.
It has already been ratified by the legislatures of both countries.
