Iran’s trade turnover in first half of 2015 minus $5,945M

The trade turnover of Iran excluding crude oil and gas condensates in the first six months of 2015 was minus $5,945 million.

The country exported 28,244 thousand metric tons of goods worth $17,592 million and imported 19,419 thousand metric tons worth $23,537 million, the latest report by Iran's Customs Administration has revealed on August 1.

The country had exported 42,413 thousand metric tons of goods worth $16,722 million while importing 20,752 thousand metric tons worth $28,651 million during the first half of 2014.

Compared to the previous year, Iran's exports lowered in weight by 9.83 percent while gained 5.20 percent in value in the current year.

Also the imports lowered by 6.43 percent in weight and 17.85 percent in value. The overall trade turnover fell by 50.16 percent.

In the first half of 2015 Iran's trade with 83 countries was positive while with 78 other countries it was negative.

Iran's trade with Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and Egypt was the most positive during the mentioned period, while it was the most negative with the UAE, South Korea, China, Switzerland, and Germany.
