Tbilisi will host conference "Electricity trading at the regional level" on Nov.19-20. The conference is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the project "Encouraging investments in the hydropower sector".
This project contributes to attracting investments in the hydropower sector. Its goal to provide Georgia with 400 megawatts of ecologically clean, renewable energy in terms of attracting foreign and domestic investments.
In addition to attracting resources, the project also aims at applying rules and regulations of the EU on energy trading and creating conditions for investment.
The conference will be attended by representatives of the Georgian Energy Ministry, NGOs, international financial institutions, owners of private HPPs and companies selling electricity in the region.
