The expenditure for fulfilling the contracts and orders within the projects operated by the British company BP in Azerbaijan, exceeded $1.17 billion in Jan.-Sept. 2012, BP's report as of nine months said.
In 2011, the expenditure for fulfilling contracts and orders within the projects operated by the British company BP in Azerbaijan amounted to about $1.21 billion compared to $1.03 billion in 2010.
The expenditure for fulfilling the contracts of small and medium enterprises (174) hit $348 million, state-owned companies (25) - $36 million, joint ventures with a local partner (12), - $365 million in January-September 2012. The expenditure of foreign contractors in the country in January-September was $425 million.
Around $3.6 million were spent for the projects within the social responsibility for the first nine months. In particular, expenses totaled $ 0.5 million within the project of developing the offshore Azerbaijani fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli", "Shah Deniz" field - $0.35 million, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines - $1.04 million. BP spent $ 1.7 million within its social projects.
