Georgia, Tbilisi, 2 July / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /
Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze along with representatives of Azerbaijani company SOCAR Georgia Gas have examined the gas distribution network in the village of Gamardzhveba of Gardabani district and reviewed the gas supplies.
SOCAR Georgia Gas has restored the gas supply to the villag that has not been supplied with natural gas since October 2012 due to debts. The company has been involved in restoration of gas supply for the past 10 days. The gas supply is resumed for 550 families residing in the village of 900 consumers. The works will be completed next week. Alongside, the company plans to rehabilitate the gas supply network in rural areas in the future.
The Nasa Company, which provided gas to Gamardzhveba, failed not pay the cost of gas supplied by Itera Georgia, resulting in the shortage of gas supplied to the village. As a result of the agreement reached between the Ministry of Energy and SOCAR Georgia Gas, the latter took over the obligation to supply gas to the village.
