Distribution of electricity in Turkey has been fully handed over to the country's private sector, Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said, Anadolu agency reported on Tuesday.
According to him, the process of transferring the power distribution in Turkey began with a number of tenders which have been going on for 10 years.
Some 87 projects on privatisation of state bodies have been realised in Turkey up till July 2013.
Earlier, Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said a record number of deals on privatisation of state enterprises are expected in 2013.
Recently, an active process of the privatisation of state-owned companies has been on-going in Turkey.
