As of July 2014, Kazakh banks granted 896.3 billion tenges ($1 - 182 tenges as of Sept. 23), which is a record amount in the past six years, ranking.kz analytical service said Sept. 23.
"The absolute record for monthly loan tranche - 1.1 trillion tenges - was recorded in July 2007," analysts say.
Counted in the dollar equivalent, the monthly loan tranches are far behind the figures for 2007 - 1.8 times on average.
Thus, the average loans in 2014 totalled $4.2 billion, while in 2007 they amounted to $7.6 billion.
