A fire broke out in the building of the Kazakhstan Railways (the Kazakhstan Temir Zholy) in Astana, RIA Novosti reported citing the city emergency situations department.
The city emergency situations department said it was notified about the fire at 16:18 local time (UTC/GMT +6 hours).
"According to preliminary information, upon the fire units' arrival, it was found out that the exterior paneling on the building's seventh floor is burning," said the city emergency situations department.
Work on evacuation and containment of fire is currently underway.
