President Hassan Rouhani appointed Morteza Bank as Vice President for Executive Affairs, Fars News Agency reported.
He is Deputy Head of the Center for Strategic Researches of Expediency Discernment Council.
Bank was Deputy Foreign minister during Mohammad Khatami`s administration (1997 to 2005). Before that, he worked as Governor of Kerman Province for three years.
Bank also served as deputy chief of Hassan Rouhani's election campaign, 2013. He is the member of the Moderation and Development Party's central committee.
Executive Vice President facilitates the task of construction projects and is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Presidential duties.
