A group of 15 Iranian fishermen jailed in Qatar have been freed with the help of Iranian Embassy in Doha.
The fishermen who are residents of Delvar region in Iran's Bushehr Province, were arrested by Qatar's coast guards for illegal entrance to the Qatari territorial waters, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported on August 5.
The released fishermen returned to Iran after fulfilling legal procedures by the Iranian embassy.
On August 4, nine Iranian inmates in Qatar were also released after they served their prison terms.
A group of Iranian nationals are being held in Qatari prisons for offenses including drug smuggling, theft and illegal fishing.
