The Iranian National Oil Products Distribution Company has distributed 71.4 billion liters of oil products domestically 324 days into the current Iranian year (started Mar. 21), Shana news agency reported Feb. 10.

The products included gasoline, gasoil, kerosene, and fuel oil.

The company's CEO Mohammad Reza Mazloumi said that during this period, the company distributed 23 billion liters of gasoline, which shows that Iranians burned 69.3 million liters of the product per day.

The weekly consumption amounted to 458.3 million liters, showing a 200,000 liters decrease week on week, a report on Feb. 10 said.

Meanwhile, Iran's gasoline production will rise to 64 million liters per day by March 2015. The country is set to become an exporter of high-standard gasoline in the next Iranian calendar year (starting Mar. 21).

Mazloumi added that the gasoline sent to power plants and other consumption and distribution ports has amounted to 33 billion liters in the meantime.

"106.6 million liters of gasoil was also distributed to similar places," he added.

The official further stated that in the same period, the company distributed 12.3 billion liters of fuel oil.

"Also, 9.7 million liters of kerosene was distributed per day, which made a total of 3.1 billion liters within the period mentioned," he added.

Mazloumi further stated that the distribution of LPG is another task with the company. The company distributed 5,728 metric tons of this product per day during this period, which has made a total of 1.888 million metric tons, he said.

Iran has the world's third largest oil reserves. If Canada's unconventional oil reserves are excluded, Iran would own the second largest oil reserve.
