By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran has increased exports of dairy products to Russia by 10 percent over the past three months.

Head of Iran-Russia Joint Chamber of Commerce Asadollah Asgaroladi said that the volume of Iran 's exports to Russia is not favorable and the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran should study the reason, ISNA news agency reported on September 2.

"A delegation will be dispatched to Russia from September 11-15 to discuss ways to facilitate financial transactions," he added.

In August 2014, Moscow imposed a ban on food imports from the United States, the European Union, Canada, Australia, and Norway in response to economic sanctions imposed on Russia over its alleged role in escalating the Ukrainian crisis.

The ban targeted meat, fish, poultry and milk products, nuts, fruits and vegetables.

In October 2014, Iranian Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Hojjati said Iran is considering ways to export fruits and other agricultural products to Russia.
