Iran’s monthly ATK exports surpasses 1000 tons

Iran exported over 7500 tons of Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK) in the first seven months of current Iranian fiscal year (March 21-Oct. 22), Naser Sajjadi, managing director of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company said.

Armenia and Afghanistan were destination of Iran's ATK in the period, Sajjadi said, Fars news agency reported Oct. 31.

He further said that 700,000 tons of diesel was exported to Afghanistan, Iraq, Armenia and Pakistan in the 7-month period.

Meanwhile 30,000 tons of LPG was exported to Pakistan as well, the official said.

He added that Tehran also exported 2500 tons of kerosene to Iraqi Kurdistan in the 7-month period.

On May 30, Saeed Mahjoobi, an official with the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, said Iran has been turned into the world's biggest fuel oil exporter. For the time being, some 100 million liters of fuel oil is produced in the country's refineries, he noted.

Exporting fuel oil in large volumes is on the agenda, he said, adding that fuel oil has been replaced with natural gas in many power plants and industrial units in the country.
