A recent police vehicle accident in Iran left one man dead and eight more injured near the country's Zahedan city of Iran's south eastern Sistan and Baluchestan province.

According to preliminary data, the vehicle overturned when the driver lost control as a result of high speed.

Eleven police officers were in the vehicle, which was going towards a crashed plane location to participate in a rescue operation, the country's Fars news agency reported.

It should be noted that an Iranian police plane crashed on Oct.11, near Zahedan, as a result of which seven people were killed, among which were four senior police officers, including Police Deputy Chief for Investigation Affairs, General Mahmoud Sadeghi.

They were on a mission from Tehran to investigate the killing of four Iranian police officers in the province.
