Adviser to Georgia's ex-president arrested in U.S.

U.S. law enforcement agencies arrested Temur Basiliya in New York, Adviser to Georgia's ex-President Eduard Shevardnadze. He was wanted by Interpol, Imedi television channel reported.

Few months ago Basiliya was on Georgian television and he said that he was working for a company in the U.S.

Georgian authorities wanted Basiliya for corruption and embezzlement of several million lari.
