Uzbek oldest resident celebrates her 130-th anniversary

The oldest resident of Uzbekistan Tuti Yusupova, living in one of the villages Turtkul, Karakalpakstan region (north-west of Uzbekistan), celebrated her 130-th anniversary, "Nuroniy" foundation ("Veteran") told Trend.

The oldest resident of Uzbekistan Tuti Yusupova, living in one of the villages Turtkul, Karakalpakstan region (north-west of Uzbekistan), celebrated her 130-th anniversary, "Nuroniy" foundation ("Veteran") told Trend.
    
Tuti is considered the oldest inhabitant of the planet.
    
Tuti Yusupova for many years worked on the construction of irrigation facilities. In 2008, she was awarded with the medal "Shuhrat" (Glory) upon Uzbek President Islam Karimov's decree. Currently, she lives in her big family. She has children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    
According to the Nuroniy foundation, about 2.8 million retirees, including 100-year-old 2,000 people and more live in Uzbekistan.
