Turkic speaking states will hold the Fourth Summit on Cooperation, a gathering that brings together the countries sharing the roots of a common language. The meeting will take place next June 4-5, in the Turkish resort city of Bodrum.

The Turkic Council was established by the Nakhschivan Agreement, between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in 2009, the countries than span across Central Asia, the Caspian and the Levant.

The conference will kick off on June 2-3 with a meeting of senior officials, followed by the Council of Foreign Ministers on June 4, and will conclude with a meeting at the summit level by the heads of state on June 5. This will be immediately followed by the closing press conference given secretary general.

This year's meeting will focus on promoting tourism in the region, under the banner of "Tourism Cooperation." In preparation of the annual meeting the ministers responsible for tourism in the Turkic speaking countries convened their first meeting in Istanbul last April 11.

The ministers instructed the relevant authorities in their respective countries to prepare a joint tour program titled "Turkic Council-Modern Silk Road."

It calls for the establishment of a Task Force under the leadership of Kazakhstan to make field visits in the member-states. It further underlines the importance of proper training for employees in the tourism industry. Additionally, they will establish a Tourism Business

Association under the aegis of the Turkic Council. The intention is to initiate cooperation in the tourism industry between the member countries.

A tourism task force under the leadership of Kazakhstan was created to make field visits in the member countries. This underlines the importance the Council gives to such issues as training and preparation.

And finally the group is to establish a Tourism Business Association under the aegis of the Turkic Council in order to initiate multilateral cooperation in the private sector.

Azerbaijan has offered to host the second meeting of tourism ministers in Baku in May 2015.
