20 people have been killed in plane crash in Kazakhstan, including 15 passengers and five crew members, SCAT airline press service informed Trend.

"When landing in bad weather at the time of an aborted approach, the plane hit the ground," the airline said.

On January 29, 2013, at about 13:00, Chellenger-200 aircraft of SCAT Airline, operating flight No.760 on Kokshetau-Almaty route crashed five kilometres short of the runway at Almaty.

The crash occurred near the village of Kyzyltu in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. According to preliminary information, the accident was caused by thick fog.
