Turkmenistan is becoming an important energy resource exporter, the managers of the German RWE company said during a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a Turkmen government message said on Friday.
RWE AG CEO Peter Terium and CEO and Board Chairman Thomas Rappuhn are on a visit to Ashgabad.
"Confirming the high level of interest and willingness of their company to continue the mutually beneficial partnership, the German businessmen underlined that, with the world's largest reserves of hydrocarbons, including in the Caspian Sea, Turkmenistan has become an important exporter of energy resources to the largest international markets," the information said.
Turkmen President noted that the country's energy strategy aimed at large-scale and mutually beneficial cooperation based on a safe and secure access to energy sources and means of their delivery.
Businessmen assured that RWE AG will further continue to steadily and responsibly comply with partner obligations.
