The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) announced its readiness to help in repairing an Iran-Turkey gas pipeline that exploded yesterday.
NIGC's managing director Javad Owji said his company signed a contract with Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) on providing help, Shana news agency reports.
An explosion occurred at Tehran - Ankara pipeline yesterday at about 140 kilometers inside Turkey's borders. The incident cut of the 25 million cubic meters of gas supplied from Iran to Turkey.
BOTAS hasn't asked for help yet, Owji said, adding that they are ready to repair the pipeline within 48 hours.
Iran exports 10 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey annually.
