Iran has unveiled domestically made 14.5 mm sniper rifle and a 2,5 tone medium tacticle vehicle today, IRNA reported.
Commander of Iranian Land Forces, Gen. Ahmad Reza Pourdastan revealed details on both unveiled achievements.
He underscored that the 7 metre-long "Nineveh" tactical vehicle is completely manufactured by local Iranian experts, and it is equipped with a 240 hp engine.
According to Pourdastan, "Nineveh" is capable of carrying some 5 tons of weight and perfectly fits into country's military needs.
Speaking of the "Shaher" sniper rifle, General Pourdastan noted that the weapon weights around 22 kg, with a length of 185 cm.
He noted that the rifle has a shot range of 4000 meters, and having high shot accuracy, is able to shoot through enemy bunkers, armored vehicles and helicopters.
