Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) spokesman said an explanatory note on recent report of IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano was sent to IAEA in which Iran's legal considerations on a number of issues in the report have been presented.
Behrouz Kamalvandi said that Amano's report was positive on Iran's cooperation with the Agency as well as on desirable trend of agreements between the Agency and the IAEO, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported on June 5.
Meanwhile, Iran has legal consideration concerning a number of issues in the report. Iran's ambassador and permanent representative in the IAEA, in Vienna, Reza Najafi has underlined that the considerations should be heeded in the later reports of the of the IAEA director general.
Kamalvandi continued that Najafi has echoed these legal considerations in a note to the IAEA's secretariat and has asked it to be issued as a legal document.
The spokesman added that such explanatory notes are all countries' right and usually after presentation of reports like Amano's or reports of the IAEA's Board of Governors, countries may publish their own viewpoints and ask that the viewpoints be registered as a legal document.
In part of the note titled "Note in connection with implementation of safeguards in Iran ( gov/2014/28), it was said that Amano report had again underlined Iran's nuclear activities are totally under safeguard supervision and remains peaceful.
In another part of the note, it was said that Iran's nuclear materials have not been deviated from peaceful goals and the agency continues its verification on lack of deviation of Iran's atomic materials in its nuclear installations.
All six determined issues by the agency in the agenda and agreed between Iran and the agency ( ilfcirc/711) have been solved and reported to the Board of Governors under documents of (gov/2007/58) and (gov/2008/4) .
In the third article of the note, it said that Iran had brought up its views through published documents about a number of repeated paragraphs of the director general's report and that Iran does not commit itself to execute code 3/1 and annexed protocol upon "illegal resolutions of the Board of Governors and the UN Security Council."
