New airport named after David Agmashenebeli will be opened in Kutaisi on Sept.27.
The opening ceremony will be attended by President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili and Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán.
The airport will receive the first aircraft of the European budget airline Wizz Air. The company will carry out Kiev-Kutaisi flight, after which the aircraft will return back to the Ukrainian capital.
Construction of the airport began in November last year.
French company will operate the airport.
In addition to Wizz Air in Kutaisi in the first stage the flights will be carried out by Belarusian "BelAvia" and Russian "Siberia" in the direction of Minsk and Moscow, respectively.
