The Kartli -2 power transmission line is one of the important power transmission lines in the country's energy system, which connects Ksani -500 and Big Zestafoni substations in Western and Eastern Georgia.
The Kartli -2 power transmission line was commissioned in 1968 and its length is 164 kilometers.
Its maximum design capacity is 900 megawatts. After prolonged use, its design capacity decreased by 25-30 percent.
