Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 14 /corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / Staff changes were made in the Penal Service of Azerbaijan. As a result of meeting of the Penal Service dedicated to the results of the last year and facing tasks in 2009, a decision was made on dismissal of chiefs of several penitentiaries.
Upon the order by the Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan, the chief of the penitentiary 15, Yusif Allahyarov, was dismissed.
The chief of the operational department of this penitentiary, Tofig Aslan, was also dismissed.
The chief of the inspection of the performance of the punishments of the Justice Department Malik [Alekberov] in his presentation noted that were fixed the cases, when in the recent two months in the penitentiary of №15 thirteen concluded was illegally daN leave and rotation into the law court for the purpose of the transfer into the colony- settlement of prisoners those not received positive characteristic were made.
Malik Alakbarov, head of punishment implementation inspection department of the Ministry of Justice, said that the sick prisoners are not hospitalized timely and this caused death of one prisoner.
Upon the order by the Minister, chiefs of penitentiaries 3, 6, 11 and 14 were also dismissed.
Over the recent two years, the crimes committed by the prisoners shifted to section prisons have increased 7% to 64 facts.
Nearly 60 crimes were registered in these institutions.
In 2008 13 employees of the Service were instituted to discipline responsibility for the law breaks made by them.
