Azerbaijan, Baku, 16 February / Trend / Head of the Executive Office of the President of Azerbaijan Ramiz Mehtiyev approved on Monday a plan of activities to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide on Monday, reported information state news agency AzerTaj.
The plan involves visiting a memorial erected to commemorate victims of the Khojaly genocide in Khatai district of Baku on February 26th, and Shehidlyar hiyabany.
At 17.00 hours throughout the country, a moment of silence will honor the victims of the Khojaly genocide.
In order to bring to the world community the truth about the Khojaly genocide is planned to spread in the foreign media, TV and radio networks and Internet materials on the massacre, the embassies, representative offices in Azerbaijan and abroad diaspora organizations ceremonies of honoring the memory.
On the television / radio channels and the media will be presented materials related to the Khojaly genocide, documentaries and feature films about the struggle for national freedom will be shown at the institutions and organizations, theater and concert halls, exhibition showrooms, universities and secondary schools.
In cities and areas where people of Khojaly temporarily settled, the families of martyrs will be assisted.
