Around 4,305,394 manat, $95,782 and 594 euro have accumulated in Azerbaijan's Armed Force Assistance Fund, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry press service said.
Armed Force Assistance Fund was launched upon presidential decree on August 17, 2002. The funds are donated by physical persons and legal entities in the country and other contributions allowed by legislation.
The fund aims to contribute to strengthening material and technical basis of the Armed Forces.
Heydar Aliyev Money award to UNESCO and ISESCO good-will ambassador, member of parliament, Heydar Aliyev Foundation President Mehriban Aliyeva conferred on May 10 was also transferred to the Air Forces Fund.
