Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Vagif Sadikhov took part in an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Conference in Jeddah on Sunday.
It was dedicated to the latest developments with 'Freedom Flotilla' in the Mediterranean Sea.
He expressed Azerbaijan's position on this issue at the meeting.
The OIC members-countries sharply criticized the actions of the Israeli Navy against humanitarian convoys, which resulted in the deaths of nine activists. They appreciated the resolution of the UN Committee on Human Rights, adopted June 2, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
A communiqué was adopted as a result of the meeting.
