Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 27 /Trend, I.Khalilova/

German development bank KfW is interested in accelerating the process of financing the "Cadastre and Real Estate Registration" project in Ganja and Sheki.

"It would be desirable to accelerate the process as the deadline for credit disbursement worth 2.5 million euros, expires until 2013," head of the Baku office of the bank Natig Abdullayev told Trend on Tuesday.

He said that the pilot project was implemented rapidly. As the necessary equipment has been already purchased, the allocated funds may be sufficient for the systematic measurement work of Ganja and Sheki.

" The main purpose of the project is to develop a system of cadastre and registration of real estate in the cities of Ganja and Sheki, improve the quality of services in real estate registration, as well as increase the efficiency in this area," said Abdullayev.
It is planned to hold a joint workshop with the Azerbaijani State Property Committee in early October.

German development bank KfW allocated the grant worth 450,000 euros to prepare the 'Cadastre and registration of real estate' project in the cities of Ganja and Sheki.

The project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase consists of consulting services, and the winning bidder on this component of the project was GFA/GCI Consortium. The company has already submitted an action plan to the State Committee and in January began to work.

The procedures for real estate registration will be improved within the project. Time will be saved. The costs for the real estate registration will be reduced.

The implementation of the project will also create favorable conditions to manage land plots and real estate, as well as to create digital cadastral maps.
