The Azerbaijani side is ready to create the Trans-Caspian segment of fiber-optic cable line, director of the center of international relations and calculations under the Communications and IT Ministry Jalil Jafarov told Trend.
The Caspian segment of the cable line is an important part of the project of creating the Trans-National Eurasian Information Superhighway (TASIM).
"The work may be launched to lay an underwater fiber optic cable line as soon as we receive a positive response from Kazakhstan," Jafarov said.
